Teaching Your Kids and Grandkids About Climate Change
How do we talk with children about climate change? Join us to learn ways to teach children about the climate crisis through children’s literature. This discussion-based workshop features an introduction to children’s literature and strategies for selecting and assessing children’s books, films, and games that foster conversations about climate change.

Offered by the University of Minnesota Center for Climate Literacy (an organization that works to educate and support teachers about climate change), this participatory workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Nick Kleese and Dr. Jasmine Tang. Nick has taught high school English, kindergarten nature immersion, and middle school literacy, and Jasmine has worked with undergraduate and graduate students as well as K-12 teachers.
