What is our cancellation policy?

To cancel your registration, contact us at least five business days before the class for a refund (minus a $5 fee). Some programs have a more specific refund policy. Full refunds are given if the class is canceled by the site/program.

Can I take a class if I'm not a St. Louis Park resident?

Yes; residency is not a requirement. No matter where you live, you can take a class with us.

What is the best way to search for a class?

There are a few ways you can search or browse for a class.

  1. If you know the title of the class or specific search terms, enter these terms in the search box at the top of the page. Advanced Search
  2. Clicking on the magnifying glass while the search field is empty will bring up an advanced search menu.
  3. Course information is separated by program area followed by categories. To search by program click on theExplore All Programs button at the top of the page. You can then click on the program in the blue banner and then on the category of interest and then .
  4. Clicking on the rectangular Program Icons will also bring you to the program categories and a button.

How do I register for a class?

We encourage participants to register early! Classes must meet a minimum number of enrollments to be held, and some classes also fill quickly. There are two primary ways to register for a class:

  1. Call the appropriate program coordinator. Phone numbers are listed here.
  2. Follow the directions for "What is the best way to search for a class?"; once you have selected which class you want, click the "Enroll Now" button.

When are catalogs mailed out?

Catalogs are expected to be in homes approximately 2 weeks after registration opens. The registration opening dates are:

  • August 1 (Fall Catalog)
  • December 1 (Winter Catalog)
  • April 1 (Spring/Summer catalog)

When does registration open?

Registration for community education courses open as follows:

  • Fall Session: August 1
  • Winter Session: December 1
  • Spring/Summer Youth Enrichment, Early Learning, Kids Place & Aquatics: February 15
  • Spring/Summer Session: April 1
