Introduction to the Art of Bonsai

This three-part class will provide you with a tree, hands-on instruction, and the foundational knowledge needed to shape and care for your own bonsai.

• Week One: Discover Your Tree - Receive your tree and learn the fundamentals of bonsai design, including how to identify the trunk base and choose the tree’s front.
• Week Two: Transplanting - Bring your tree back to class and learn the basics of transplanting and repotting.
• Week Three: Wiring and Shaping - Explore the techniques of bonsai wiring and learn how to guide your tree’s growth and develop its form.

Whether you’re new to bonsai or simply curious about this living art, this class offers an opportunity to slow down, get creative, and begin cultivating a beautiful, lasting connection with your tree.
