My art education started in the former Czechoslovakia, where I studied art history, painting and historical costume design in a specialized high school. Thanks to an exceptional teacher, painter and designer, I found a great deal of satisfaction in bold style drawing, working primarily with charcoal, Indian ink and color.

I have studied with and continue to learn from many exceptional watercolorists (Barbara Nechis, Tom Francesconi, Andy Evansen, Cheng-Khee-Chee, Doug Lew, Robin Berry, Dan Wiemer...)

I am a member of the Minnesota Watercolor Society, Minnesota Artists Association, Edina Art Center, attend figure drawing co-ops. and belong to a Brush Pilots Painting group.
