Monday Matinee & Popcorn

Join us for a Monday Matinee and Popcorn in the Lenox Little Theater! We'll feature a different film once a month. See below for the titles and descriptions of the upcoming movies. Stop by the front office to suggest a movie or donate DVDs! Movies are Free For All! Children and grandchildren are welcome at your discretion. (Children under 15 years old are invited to G or PG movies.)

Winter 2026 Movies:

  • January 12: Jack Frost (1988) PG. After a tragic car accident, a musician named Jack Frost returns in magical snowman form, giving him one last chance to reconnect with his son and make up for lost time.
  • February 9: Sister Act (1992) PG. A lounge singer hides in a convent after witnessing a crime and revives the struggling choir with her musical flair, bringing new life to the church while staying undercover.
  • March 9: Iron Jawed Angels (2004) TV-14. A historical drama following Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, two women who pushed the suffrage movement in the U.S. in the 1910s by using bold activism, picketing, and civil disobedience to win voting rights for women.
  • April 13: Bruce Almighty (2003) PG-13. A frustrated TV reporter is granted divine powers for a week to see if he can do a better job than the current supreme being. Initially using his newfound abilities for personal gain, he soon realizes the complexities of managing the universe and the importance of responsibility.

Spring/Summer 2026 Movies:

  • May 11: Grease (1978) PG. Grease is a fun, high-energy musical set in the 1950s about Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, whose summer romance is tested when they reunite at high school. Filled with catchy songs, iconic dance numbers, and teenage drama, it’s a timeless celebration of young love and friendship.
  • June 8: Ray (2004) PG-13. Ray is a powerful biographical drama that tells the story of legendary musician Ray Charles, portrayed by Jamie Foxx. The film traces Ray’s rise from a troubled childhood and the loss of his sight to becoming a groundbreaking artist who reshaped rhythm and blues, soul, and jazz. Through music, perseverance, and personal struggle, Ray offers an intimate look at the life, talent, and complexity of one of America’s most influential musicians.
  • July 13: Independence Day (1996) PG-13. Independence Day is a blockbuster sci-fi action film starring Will Smith as a fearless fighter pilot who joins forces with a determined group of civilians and military leaders when Earth is invaded by hostile aliens. As massive spaceships destroy cities around the world, humanity rallies for an epic fight for survival, culminating in a high-stakes battle on the Fourth of July. Packed with explosive action, suspense, and humor, the film is a patriotic, edge-of-your-seat summer classic.
  • August 10: Nights in Rodanthe (2008) PG-13. Nights in Rodanthe is a romantic drama starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane as two strangers brought together at a quiet seaside inn in a small North Carolina town. As a storm approaches, they form a deep, unexpected connection while sharing their personal heartbreaks and hopes for a second chance at love. Set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, the film is a tender, emotional story about healing, forgiveness, and the power of love to change your life.
